Role: Java Solutions Architect Location: Houston, TX (preferred locals - day 1 onsite) Duration: 12 + Months JD: Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience (7+ years) working as a Java Solutions Architect or a similar role, preferably in a logistics or supply chain domain. Strong expertise in Java development, including Java EE, Spring, Microservices, Kubernetes, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, and other related frameworks. Proven experience in designing and architecting scalable, distributed, and high-performance Java applications. Solid understanding of system integration patterns, API design, and microservices architecture. Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and web services. Hands-on experience with database technologies, such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and cloud-native architecture principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban. Certification in Java technologies or enterprise architecture (e.g., Oracle Certified Master, Java EE Architect) is a plus.
